Update 11/25/2019 at 1:13PM: The Fontbonne University phone system is currently not working. Please email the individual you are trying to reach.  Or contact Maria Buckel at MBuckel@fontbonne.edu. She will forward your question to the appropriate person or department.

Update 11/19/19 at 9:30am: Work continues to be done to bring all campus communication tools back online. Student, faculty, and staff should continue to look for official University updates.

Update 11/17/19 at 7:20pm: Classes will meet as scheduled on Monday, November 18, 2019.

When you return to campus, do not plug any computer or other device into the network, and do not connect to the wifi.  If a computer is already connected to the network it can stay connected.

The IT staff has successfully restored Schoology access.  When you visit the Schoology site:  https://fontbonne.schoology.com/

You will notice that the login procedure has changed.  You will be directed to a Microsoft login site similar to that for Office 365/email.  Enter your Fontbonne email and password.  You should then be redirected to Schoology.  Access Schoology from this direct link; do not use my.fontbonne or other bookmarks you may have.

Faculty, please message your students as soon as you are able with information about changes in Schoology deadlines.

Original Alert:

Fontbonne was hit by a cybersecurity attack on Friday, November 15th 2019.  Fontbonne is well-insured for this type of event, and Fontbonne IT staff and national vendors who are experts in this attack have been working diligently to bring back critical systems.  This is a complicated and time-consuming process.  We are prioritizing the restoration of critical systems, but not all systems will be operational on Monday.  Email and Office 365 online are functioning.

At this point, Fontbonne University intends to be open and to hold classes on Monday, November 18, as scheduled.

If the situation changes, we will send an additional update.

Schoology is not currently operational.  Once it becomes operational, we will notify you, and we will ask instructors to provide reasonable deadline adjustments. Thank you for your patience.

The phone system is not currently functioning.  In the event of an emergency, to reach public safety contact (314) 599-2947.

This post will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
