DPD Graduates

If you have earned, or are currently in the process of earning, DPD verification through
an ACEND accredited didactic program in dietetics, you can apply to join our CP as a
graduate student to earn an M.A. and complete the internship hours. DPD graduates
complete our program over five semesters.

Our program accepts applications through the Dietetic Internship Centralized
Application System (DICAS)
. We accept applications on a rolling basis for annual
summer start dates. Note that we are not part of the D&D match.

Although our preferred application deadline is March 15th, applications are reviewed,
and acceptances are offered on a rolling basis. So, if you are interested in joining us
don’t delay, apply today!

Our general requirements are listed below. All application materials must be submitted
through DICAS.

  • 3.0 overall GPA for all coursework completed*
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • DPD verification statement, or declaration of intent confirmed by program
    director
  • Resumé specifically highlighting your work and volunteer experiences that
    are relevant to the nutrition and dietetics profession
  • Personal statement answering the following prompts, at a minimum:
  • Your current interest area(s) in dietetics
  • 2 3 of your strengths and how they will contribute to your success in our
    program
  • 1 2 areas for improvement, and what you have done/are doing to improve
    upon them
  • Discussion of your most meaningful experiences (school, work, volunteer)
    that have contributed to your preparation for graduate school and
    supervised practice
  • Explanation of why you would be a good fit for the coordinated program at
    Fontbonne University
  • Two professional letters of recommendation from people who can discuss
    your character, experience, and preparation for graduate school and/or
    supervised practice Preferably, one academic and one professional
    reference letter from a work/practicum/volunteer supervisor
  • Virtual interview (will be scheduled once application has been reviewed)
