2024-25 FAFSA UPDATES

As of January 30, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education has announced that institutions will not receive FAFSA applications until “the first half of March.” Please read our FAFSA update session below for more information.

FAFSA Information

High school seniors, transfer and graduate students should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to apply for financial aid (grants, work-study, and loans) to assist in paying for college.  The form is free and confidential.

Ninety-seven percent of Fontbonne University students receive financial aid, and the university awards $5.4M in scholarships annually. Like nearly all of our students, you might need financial aid support, and it is critical that you submit the FAFSA. This federal form is key to grant and loan eligibility and the first step toward paying for college.

Think of the FAFSA as the gateway to student aid. Completing the FAFSA will open the doors to receiving institutional aid, state and federal grants, student loans, and Parent PLUS loans.

Attending Fontbonne in the 2023 - 2024 Academic Year?

If you will be attending Fontbonne in the 2023-2024 academic year (Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024) and wish to receive financial aid, you should complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA. To file the FAFSA, go online to www.studentaid.gov.

After your admittance to Fontbonne University, Fontbonne will determine your financial aid award estimate based on your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) calculated by the FAFSA. This estimate allows you to plan your costs for college more accurately – and months earlier than previously possible.

Fontbonne’s Federal school code is 002464.

Attending Fontbonne in the 2024 - 2025?

The 2024-2025 FAFSA is now open!  This is still a soft launch period for the FAFSA, so possible wait times or pauses for site maintenance should still be expected, but students who will be attending Fontbonne in the 2024-2025 academic year (Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025) and wish to receive financial aid, should visit studentaid.gov to start the process.

Fontbonne’s Federal school code is 002464

(Keep this number handy; without adding it to your FAFSA, Fontbonne will not be able to provide you with a financial aid estimate)
