Friday, October 1 (Pre-Homecoming Virtual Event)

Faculty and Staff Presentation & FCC Awardee Celebration
11 a.m. via Zoom

Come learn how the recipients of the 2021 Fontbonne Community Connection (FCC) Grant program are using their awarded funding. The faculty and staff awardees will share their exciting plans and provide updates on their various projects.

The FCC is a women’s giving circle that has provided over $1 million dollars in grant funding to the Fontbonne community.

Saturday, October 2

Breakfast Meet and Greet with Dr. Blattner
9 – 10:30 a.m., Arnold Memorial Center (AMC), Medaille Hall

Join Fontbonne University President, Dr. Nancy Blattner, CSJA, for a complimentary continental breakfast. Get to know Dr. Blattner and her vision for Fontbonne’s future. 

 

Griffin Women’s Volleyball
11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Gymnasium, Dunham Student Activity Center

Cheer the Griffins onto victory against rivals Principia College and Westminster College.  

 

Campus Tours
3:30 – 4:30 p.m., Exterior steps of Ryan Hall

Student Ambassadors lead small group tours of campus.

 

Mass
4:30 p.m., Doerr Chapel, Ryan Hall 

Celebrate Mass with the Fontbonne community in Doerr Chapel.

 

Barbeque Picnic
5 – 7 p.m., Ryan Hall Cafeteria & Golden Meadow

Cost is $10 per person (students can scan their meal card)

Feast on all the BBQ favorites served from the newly renovated Ryan Hall cafeteria. Dinner includes pulled pork and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie and beef burgers, coleslaw, potato salad, mac and cheese, dessert, and more! Outdoor seating will also be available in the Golden Meadow.

 

Live Outdoor Concert with Mirage
7 – 10 p.m., Eleanor Ferry Plaza (outside of the Jack C. Taylor Library)

Bring your blanket and enjoy an evening under the stars grooving to the tunes of local cover band, Mirage, headlined by Fontbonne alumnus Darren George ’89. Beer and wine will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Alumni Board Scholarship Fund.

Parts of these events will be photographed/recorded for use by the university. Program is subject to change.
